Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are read, and whether the contact form is used. Both load from our own subdomain, tracking.datahit.co, a server-side tagging service run for us by Addingwell, which passes the data to Google. We never send the contents of the contact form to Google Analytics.
| Cookie | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|
| FPID | 2 years | Set by our tagging server (tracking.datahit.co) to recognise a returning visitor. Read only by that server; scripts on the page cannot see it. |
| _ga | 2 years | Google Analytics: a random identifier that distinguishes visitors. |
| _ga_HLWBTXK0CY | 2 years | Google Analytics: keeps track of the current visit (session). |
